    Garrett McLeod Professor Stewart-Steele ENGL 1303 31 January 2021  White Fragility, Introduction             What DiAngelo means by “White Fragility”, is the anger and petulance that bursts out, as if a fragile surface has been pierced, when people feel their morals and character have been challenged upon being accused, at least in their mind, of taking part in the crimes that make up the history of American racism. It is only how she puts her ideas into practice, that I question about her workshops discussed in the introduction. Profound Change in the Workplace? The first thing that jumps out to me is the fact that she was hired by their employer.   I am of Caucasian descent. Most of my ancestors came to Texas and Louisiana in the 1800’s from Scotland, France, Germany, and Southern Italy.             I do not have any solid religious beliefs, not because I think they are all wrong or misguided, but only because I am really not sure of anything concerning god, or other religious questions. M y only political beliefs are that I think the structure of corporations should be democratized, no matter how little education a worker may have, they need to be included in the decision making that effects their day to day lives more than anything else, as we spend most of our time in the workplace. So, while democracy is sacred for Americans, we do not extend that to our work places, which in America, affects our lives more than the government does.
